Château Clarisse

Driven by their passion for wine and their taste for challenges, Olivia and Didier Le Calvez have signed since 2010 their own wine in one of the most illustrious regions of the Bordeaux constellation, listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site, the Saint-Emilion wine region.
“After two years of searching, we really fell in love with a wine estate with an ideal combination of terroir and climate, all merged with a perfect vine population, 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. All the ingredients came together to elaborate a wine as we had imagined it, rich in flavours and with a high subtlety.”
This is how Château Clarisse, inspired by the first name of their daughter, was born to write a beautiful family story.
The Château Clarisse estate stretches over 18 hectares on a clay-limestone and clay-siliceous soil, located on a plateau at an altitude of 89 metres.
Château Clarisse has endeavoured since 2010 to deploy a more environmentally sustainable viticulture, with, more particularly, a ban on herbicides and is now engaged in an approach to switch to organic wine growing since 2016.
